University of Pavol Jozef Safarik and Presovska university

On April 11, the Association, represented by K. Absolonová for ASAP, K. Tkáčová for Skrivánek, and K. Michalcová for Tetras, presented itself at universities in eastern Slovakia. The lecture took place at the Department of English and American Studies, Faculty of Arts, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, at the invitation of doc. PhDr. Slávka Janigová, PhD., with 45 students in attendance, and at the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, Faculty of Arts, University of Prešov, at the invitation of Prof. Dr. habil. Magdaléna Bilá, PhD. with the participation of 60 students. After lectures on the Association's Code of Ethics, the added value of translation companies, the stages of project processing, the opportunities for linguists in translation companies, the conditions for cooperation with translators, the benefits of such cooperation for translators, and the possibilities for internships and part-time jobs, a lively discussion took place with the students and suggestions for further cooperation were made by the teachers.
