STN EN ISO 18587 PEMT

On April 23, Jakub Absolon from ASAP-translation.com, translations and interpreting, presented the ISO 18587 standard and its problematic passages concerning mainly the definition of full post-editing to representatives of the language departments of UK, UKF, UMB, UCM, UPJS, and Prešov, as well as the SSPOL and SAPT associations, the ISO 18587 standard and its problematic passages concerning mainly the definition of full post-editing and the associated issues of risk and responsibility. This was a pilot lecture, which will be followed by further activities, including a round table discussion between academic and professional translation communities, initiated by the Association of Translation Companies of Slovakia.
