MT and LLM webinar

On March 11, the Association organized a webinar on machine translation and large language models, which was led by doc. RNDr. Ondřej Bojar, PhD. from the Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague. The webinar was of a very high professional standard, but at the same time it explained the principles of NMT and LLM to laymen and pointed out the pitfalls of this modern translator's tool. The event met with unprecedented interest, with 26 participants, including members of the Slovak Association, members of the partner Czech association ACTA, staff from the language departments of UKF Nitra, UCM Trnava, UK Bratislava, UPJS Košice, the University of Prešov, UMB Banská Bystrica, EU BA, and a representative of SSPOL.
